I am Grandma.  Me.  Sharon Willingdon..  I live here in Lynden and I am the grandmother of 2 rambunctious boys (12 and 5) that live 292 miles away.

When I was in High School I was forced to take Home Economics  All the girls (but not the boys!) had to.  Not going to lie... I loved it and got straight A's.  Extra credit was my thing.

As I understand it, 'Home Ec' is not taught in schools any longer and kids these days aren't learning basic life skills.  I know how to do stuff and I'm passionate about sharing.  I understand how busy families are and some times things fall off the priority list.  I would love to share my skills with your child, or even you.  

Our guest Grandma is Teri.  She also lives here in Lynden but was born and raised in Texas.  Tortillas, tamales and other southwestern fare is her thing - and she loves to share as well.

We charge by the hour, $20.00 with a one hour minimum.  $30 an hour for 2 students.  

If you supply all ingredients or supplies that's all it costs.

If you'd like me to supply the ingredients then i will go shopping and give you a receipt so you can pay me for them.

This one is easy.  Your house within the Lynden city limits. I will come to you.  if you live outside of Lynden we can talk. I live in a 100 year old farm house with a broken oven.  Seriously.  it makes my heart hurt.  

In person classes, taught the way I was taught by my mother, and how I taught my two very self-sufficient kids.  When my son was 11 he made this amazing lemon chicken in the crockpot and my daughter sewed all the groomsmen ties for her wedding.. That stunned me because I didn't really think she was paying attention.  Ha!  She fooled me!

Prior to arranging a class we can discuss what equipment we need, what you have and what I need to bring.
